About Airport Manager roles
Airport Manager is a management title within transportation, storage, and distribution manager work in the data space. Day to day, the role draws on WMS (Manhattan), TMS (MercuryGate), Lean logistics, and Carrier procurement. Hiring teams evaluate candidates on how you frame ambiguous questions, choose methods, validate results, and turn findings into decisions. Because this title specializes in airport, examples drawn from airport work will carry more weight than general transportation, storage, and distribution manager stories.
Prepare both halves of the process here: tighten your resume around models, analyses, and dashboards tied to the decisions they informed and the lift they produced, then rehearse interview answers that walk through a situation, the decision you made, and a measurable outcome. A representative interview question for this field: “Walk me through a time you improved distribution performance while controlling costs.” Many candidates bring a background such as B.S. Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
